We’ve been hitting the accelerator pedal in 2012, with our core web properties flourishing from small, well implemented, ideas, into major websites with real-world attention. The past week or two has been no different.
Because there’s so much happening across our network of incredible websites, it is time to tell you about the recent changes.
In the past week, we have…
Sent Your-Story.org “pay only”
In order to provide more value to professional PR representatives, and businesses, we have removed the free press release submission system at Your-Story.org and instead we offer a 2 business hour publication service via XPress Releases or a monthly account via Premium Accounts – both of which tested exceptionally well in Q1 and Q2 2012.
With the new changes, those with Premium Accounts may now publish press releases simply by emailing them to a dedicated account manager – more value, for a low monthly fee.
Introduced Tools Subdomain at Race-Calendar.com
At Race-Calendar.com, our market leading free running events listing guide, we’ve been serving the running community since 2008. But, since then, we’ve launched so many phenomenal Apps and Tools for Runners and Running Webmasters that we felt we needed a dedicated place to tell those people about them!
In order to free up much needed space on the main site, and also to fully represent the excellent range of tools for runners we have at Race-Calendar.com, we launched the Tools.Race-Calendar.com subdomain this week.
Its live and ready right now, and you will find:
- Regional Race Maps – for blogs and websites anywhere to present races near them
- Facebook Race Maps App – same as above, only in the world’s most popular Social Network!
- Race Notifications – find out when a new race near you is added to Race-Calendar.com, and get an email when races are coming up in your area. Never miss a race!
- Many, many more – just visit Tools.Race-Calendar.com for info.
USA Race Listings Overtook UK Race Listings at Race-Calendar.com
We started in the United Kingdom, and branched out, at Race-Calendar.com, but this week the number of races listed at the website in the USA overtook the number in the UK, thereby proving that the website has “crossed the pond” successfully. You can see:
New Web Design Clients Signed at Silicon Dales
Contracts were signed on a further four web development projects at Silicon Dales and a handful of other detailed proposals were prepared for interested enterprise level parties.

More Activity Behind the Scenes
We’ve also upgraded and hardened the security on a number of our domains, as well as implementing a lot of technical improvements which will have a positive impact on page-speed and the ability for our systems to cope with traffic into the xx,000 per hour region, which is now becoming the norm rather than the exception on many domains.
We hope that our updates and improvements bring added value to our web visitors, our clients and customers, and the shareholders of 24 Hour Trading Ltd – that is our mission.
We hope to be adding even more feature rich subdomains to Race-Calendar.com very soon. We will be upgrading and overhauling our online race entry system. We hope to see our Facebook running fans pass 50,000 soon. We will be launching 3-4 new domains Built in the Silicon Dales next week.
And somebody, somewhere, will be enjoying something we provided for free, every minute, of every day, across the globe.
